Notes From the Boss
I was out of the office yesterday, visiting my brother-in-law in the hospital, where he's stuck with a case of appendicitis. That meant taking the day off work (not the worst thing in the world). Since my boss will be unavailable all weekend, and is having a knee surgery on Monday that will keep her out of the office all week, she left me a long note. It was full of things to remember while she was away, questions about ongoing issues, and general reminders and to-dos.And then I got to the last item on the list: "WILL JACK MARRY SHELLY, EVEN THOUGH HE'S FOUND OUT THAT THE BABY IS NOT HIS? WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN WHEN HE REALIZES THAT THE BABY IS NOT ONLY BLACK, BUT CHINESE AS WELL? AND CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT STEPHANIE USED TO BE A MAN? I MEAN, REALLY!!!"
My job might make me crazy, but my boss is pretty great.
